Community service hours

During my time at GCE I have done some civic engagement. I have helped with school dances, 5K runs, and making lunches for the homeless. You can read more of what I have done below.

5k Help 10-11-22:  1 hour

For the 5k I helped pass out snacks, cheer on the runners, and helped clean up. I learned communication skills with is something I used to snuggle with, especially with those I don't know. From what I seen I know the runners appreciated having somebody cheer them on throughout their run. I'm sure they also appreciated the yummy snacks and water that was provided.

GCE launch party 10-12-22: 8 hours

For the GCE launch party I along with others set up an immersive experience for the guests. I also helped check in the guests. I learned valuable talking lessons, and presentation skills. I am very awkward when it comes to meeting new people and I think this helped me break out of my shell. Everyone was really nice and enjoyed themselves.

GCE halloween party set up 10-21-22: 2 hours
For the GCE halloween party I helped set up and make the space fun. I thought this was a fun task because I love decorating. I loved making the space look spooky and having creative freedom. I think everybody enjoyed the set up and had a lot of fun.

GCE Lunch and card making for the less fortunate 12-02-2022: 1 Hour
I along with the rest of the school made lunches and cards for the less unfortunate during the holidays. I really enjoyed making these lunches and cards. It really made me think of how lucky I am to be able to have a warm home to come to fresh food to eat. I am grateful to have been able to make somebody's holidays with this small gesture.
