Mental health in the high school population
In our rhetoric class here at gce, we are learning about audience and how to reach them. Its aim is to inform, educate, persuade or motivate specific audiences in specific situations. we are learning how to use pathos, logos, and ethos. we are also learning how to use rhetorical devices like metaphors, similies, hyperboles, ect. We had a guest come in and explain how she talks to people and persuades them to register to vote. She told us how she doesn't let her own opinion get in the way of registering others to vote even if they have a different opinion. She also talked about how she receaches her intended auidence. With that being said we are putting all that to use and talk about a problem that we think should be talked about in our school and make up a question and answer it. The question i chose was "what will you do about mental health at school and how do you think students and teens should handle it?" i wrote a speech and used a simile and metaphor and made sure i had facts. I paraphrased my speech and made sure to state the important things. I added my speech and cited sources as well as a copy of my speech.
